Update on Session 2 Chemo and November 18th Benefit Show - Please Join us!
MEMO
DATE: November 5, 2008
TO: RE/MAX COR Staff
FROM: Trevor Ireland
Impulse Theater, the comedy troupe I work with, is putting on a benefit show for Kari Stutz and Susan Goiser to raise money for meal services as they undergo chemotherapy. It’s a company that ships freeze-dried meals to people in case they don’t have time, or energy, to prepare meals from scratch. I figure it would give them one less thing to worry about while they go through this very tiresome process.
In addition, a portion of the proceeds will go to The Gathering Place on behalf of the two.
Anything you can do to help promote this event on November 18th would be appreciated since we need 160 people to fill up the theater. The event takes place at 8:00 in the lower level of the Wynkoop Brewing Company @ 18th and Wynkoop. Tickets are $20.00.
Anyone interested in attending can contact the theater directly @ 303.297.2111 (mention that you want to buy tickets for the Benefit on the 18th). This is definitely not something that’s limited to staff only. Spouses and significant others are more than welcome to come.
A bartender will be on staff.
The theater will take credit card information or you can pay at the door.

Chemo, Day 1, Second Session
I talked with Susan's dad this morning, it sounds as though her reaction to her second chemo treatment (yesterday) has gone much better so far than the last time. He thought we would know more in the next 24 hours. She is going in this morning and tomorrow for fluids, which will hopefully keep her better hydrated and able to recover more quickly.
Buzz Party!
Today Susan went in for her second session of chemo.
Yesterday, Susan wanted to resolve her hair issue...it's coming out in clumps so why not buzz it all off now before being sick with the chemo treatments this week. It's not bad enough that all the hair was coming out, but it hurt like "heck"! Liquid courage first! After shopping for a bunch of caps at REI with Tess and Ida, a big group joined Susan at the Rio for the strongest margaritas in town. It's was a crazy "pre-buzz" party. We made Monday Happy Hour history!
Then off to Susan's place. Joe brought his clippers and seeing that he was master shaver of his own head, he was designated the barber. Fred requested a temporal mohawk before it was all taken off. Not bad! Susan carried off the tough punk look. Within minutes, off with the rest...and leave it to Susan to still look stunning!
